Description
Hello! My name is Svetoslav Georgiev and I have over 71% disability due to visual impairment. I am proud to say that I have participated twice in Paralympic Games in cross-country skiing, but recently I have been experiencing serious back problems, which makes me doubt whether to continue with the sport.
At the moment I live with my mother who is also visually impaired and over 75% disabled. While I strive to be independent and self-sufficient, and to cope with many of the challenges of everyday life (I even dreamed of welding until recently, though my eyesight does not allow it), our current situation is extremely difficult. Our house, built of shingles, is in deplorable condition - the roof leaks, and we don't even have an adequate bathroom, as I've improvised a bathroom, etc.
This fundraiser is essential for us because it will help us build a safer and more decent place to live. With this fund, we will be able to build a small but functional house of about 50 square meters that will provide normal living conditions for me and my mother. Any donation will go directly towards buying materials and paying for construction work to make this home a stable and comfortable haven where I can continue to work towards my independence.
***Thank you sincerely and from the bottom of our hearts for your support and for giving us hope for a better future. Your help is invaluable at this time!
