My son Lukas is 14 months old and has Cerebral Palsy, with suspected infantile autism. He struggles with speech development, eating, physical fatigue, and cognitive challenges, and needs specialist care that simply isn't available where we live, in the Faroe Islands.
We are a family of five trying to relocate to Denmark, where Lukas can access the specialist support, therapies, and early intervention he urgently needs. The difference this could make for his development is significant. But every door we've tried has led to another closed one.
Because Lukas cannot attend daycare, I am home full time as his primary carer, which means I have no income beyond basic welfare and eI cannot afford the expenses required for the move.
Any contribution, no matter how small, brings my family one step closer to the help Lukas deserves.
