Meet Odin, a beloved 5-year-old member of my cockatiel family in need of medical attention. I noticed Odin’s feathers to start turning more yellow in December 2023, and vibrant yellow feathers for cockatiels in most cases indicates possible liver issues. Moreover, recent blood sample results have raised red flags, suggesting underlying health issues. In many cases the root problem for liver diseases is a diet, but for Odin it is unlikely as his diet varies a lot – sprouts, grains, veggies, greens, pellets, fruits. We have already run several tests trying to find out what is going on with him, but no luck so far. He tested negative for PBFD, AVP, Chlamydia, also Mycobacteria, Parasitology, Mycological testing came back negative. I have all of my saving on different tests which all have been expensive, but more examination needs to be done – heavy metal poisoning and diagnostic endoscopy with a biopsy sampling. These two tests altogether cost around 600 EUR. To ensure Odin receives the specialized care he deserves, I am seeking your support to fund additional examinations and tests.
