Dear people of good will,

Our little princess Stela is only 3 years old. Since her birth, she has been going through the storms of life, alongside her parents and older sister Emma. She gives her loved ones lots of love and hugs.

At birth, Stella was diagnosed with a complex congenital heart defect and was transferred to the intensive care unit at the 16th hour of life. She was diagnosed with a heart defect (double outlet right ventricle with large VSD, ASD and TOF). In addition to the heart defects, she was also confirmed to have Noonan syndrome.

At less than four months old, she underwent surgical correction, which lasted 12 hours. Stella has had feeding difficulties since birth. She would vomit any food she ate immediately after eating until the gastroenterology department found the appropriate medication and low-calorie milk, which she accepted.

After a ten-month stay in a children's hospital, she finally exchanged her hospital bed for her family bed. We are still fighting today, all meals are taken through an implanted jejunostomy and gastrostomy. We are placing new hope in private engagement. The feeding school is located in Zagreb, 150 km from our family home. During the school year, accommodation is not provided for students and parents, so we are forced to find and pay for it ourselves at our own expense. The planned treatment cycle is a cycle of 20-25 treatments over 5 weeks.

In addition to her gastro problems, Stela is seeing an educational rehabilitator, sensory therapy, occupational therapist and speech therapist. We pay all the treatment costs ourselves because the Croatian Institute of Public Health does not have a speech therapist for children like her and the waiting lists are too long (about a year and a half).

We will definitely use the funds raised for her recovery to ensure better living conditions for her, in line with her great desire and struggle since birth.
