My mom is my greatest hero. Since 2018, she has been bravely fighting cancer, going through yearly chemotherapy treatments with incredible strength and determination. This year, we want her care and treatment to take place at home – in a peaceful and familiar environment where she feels most comfortable.

I’ve been living abroad for 25 years. When I left my country in my twenties, I didn’t realize how much emigration costs you emotionally — the distance, the feeling of separation, and the pain of not being there when your family needs you most. Even though I can’t be with my mom every day, I do everything I can to support her from afar.

The public healthcare program provides only two day's of home assistance per week. That’s why I want to arrange private daily care for her — to ensure she receives the comfort, safety, and dignity she deserves. Being able to make this happen would ease the guilt I’ve carried for not being physically present all these years.

To help fund this, I’ve decided to connect my passion with purpose — through my art. I’m putting five of my paintings up for auction: landscapes, abstractions, and a portrait, all created with acrylic on canvas.

To make this journey even more meaningful, I’ll be putting one painting up for auction every two weeks. This way, everyone will have more time — and more choice — to connect with a piece that speaks to them.
