  • 🧶 Crochet, community, creativity – support our project! 🧶

Imagine a place where you can not only learn to crochet, but also become part of a supportive community. A place where we get together every Friday afternoon to create, help one another and draw inspiration from working together. We’ve now built up a steady group, and more and more people are showing an interest in our programmes. Many have said they’d love to take part in a morning session too, so that those who can’t make it in the afternoon can join in as well.

To make this opportunity available to even more people, we need financial support. With the help of donations, we could provide the necessary materials, yarns and a comfortable venue where everyone can feel at home.

If you believe that creativity and the power of community can bring people together, please support our project! 💜hQqeYooCVLCGUykE.jpg

Description

My name is Csilla Holovács-Csoma and I would like to start a business teaching crochet, organising creative leisure activities and building a community.

Unfortunately, over the past six months we have found ourselves in a very difficult financial situation, and I have been unable to find work for the last four months. About a month and a half ago, I got in touch with the local community centre, where they were open to hosting crochet sessions.

I would like to find a way of making a living that is compatible with my private life, whilst also allowing me to put my creativity and talent to good use, and to create a close-knit community in my neighbourhood. Through my preliminary surveys (Google Forms questionnaires) and discussions with locals, I have concluded that there is a need for community-building, creative, hands-on programmes that would enable not only personal projects but also large-scale, potentially charitable initiatives (such as crocheting octopuses, blankets and hats for premature babies).

However, to make this a reality, I need some start-up capital to cover the material costs (yarn, crochet hooks and sewing needles, beads, ribbons and other accessories) and the rent for the premises, which is not always covered by the participation fees. I would like to launch advertising campaigns, and to do so, I need to take courses. As I currently have no other income, my living expenses also represent a significant cost.

My plan is that, if the project goes ahead, I expect to generate at least €500 in revenue per month, which I intend to increase by implementing further projects.

I would like to thank everyone in advance for their help and support!
