N.M.CONSULTING2015 SRL was established in 2015 with the aim of providing consultancy and useful advice to anyone interested in investments supported by non-repayable grants. The journey has been a difficult one at times, and every project we have secured has been a great joy. The sector could be extremely promising, but the main partner is not particularly reliable. The main partner being the Romanian state. This lack of seriousness manifests itself in missed deadlines, constant changes to conditions, cancellations of funding lines that have been launched, legislative changes, etc. In this context, it is quite difficult to gain clients’ trust and convince them to take a risk, as non-repayable funding is a risk. Only those who are very firmly rooted in the business they run or in the project concept can succeed. Each assessment takes a long time, the actual payment takes a long time, and the documents requested are, more often than not, merely copies of documents already issued by the state. You could write a novel about how difficult it is for an applicant to get their hands on the money and what conditions they must comply with once they receive it. Moreover, on top of all the delays and procedural hiccups, there is also the habit of reporting any ‘suspected fraud’. And this leads to a whole painful ordeal: hearings, explanations about matters that need no explanation, wasted time and nerves. A prosecutor comes along and asks you a specific question, but without having an overview of the entire process. For example: where did you get the description of a software package you ordered? Without taking into account that, to receive a software quote, you have to tell the supplier what you intend to use the software for, or which of your company’s needs you want it to meet. There’s a whole story to tell, but that’s not the point here. My company needs help to get off the ground and, in return for this help, will offer consultancy, business plan development, project submission, project management and implementation, depending on the donation.
