Help build an animal shelter in Tarnaörs (Heves County)

In many parts of Hungary – particularly in disadvantaged regions – stray, abused and abandoned animals have very little chance of survival. Day in, day out, we come across dogs and cats left without care, medical assistance or safety.

That is why we decided to change this.

We have managed to purchase a plot of land in Tarnaörs (Heves County), where we aim to establish an animal welfare centre and shelter. A place where injured, elderly, abused and stray animals can find safety, receive care, and be given the chance of a new life.

At present, however, the site is completely empty.

We have to build everything from scratch.

Our aim is not to create an overcrowded shelter. We want to establish a well-planned and sustainable centre where animals can recover in suitable conditions and have a genuine chance of rehabilitation and adoption.

In order to begin our rescue work, we must establish the following basic conditions:

- Safe kennels and accommodation facilities

- Basic infrastructure (water, electricity, fencing)

- Isolation and recovery units for injured animals

- Veterinary care and basic equipment

This initial phase is the most difficult and crucial. Without these, we cannot take in and help animals.

We are currently seeking funding through grants, but these do not provide a guaranteed solution. That is why we are now turning to you for help.

Your support directly contributes to creating a place where animals once thought to have no chance are given a new lease of life.
