Restoring the rare Classic - Cagiva T4 350R Pre-production
Restoring the rare Classic - Cagiva T4 350R Pre-production
Description
Hi everyone,
My name is Danijel , and I’m the proud owner of a rare piece of Italian motorcycle history — a 1986 Cagiva T4 350R, serial number #526 out of just 704 ever made. This bike isn’t just a machine to me — it’s a symbol of a bygone era of raw, beautifully engineered motorcycles, and it deserves to live again.
Unfortunately, I’m currently not in the financial position to restore it on my own. The most urgent and expensive repair needed is the cylinder head, which will cost me around 600€ — a price I simply can’t afford at the moment.
The Cagiva T4 350R is not just another old dual-sport — it was part of a very limited production run before design and performance changes were introduced in later models. Mine, made in 1986, is one of the earliest examples. For those who know Cagiva, this is the real deal.
These bikes are incredibly hard to find today if any, especially in original or restorable condition. I want to bring mine back to life — not to flip it or sell it, but to preserve a rare motorcycle, enjoy the ride, and share its story with others.
The cylinder head is the most urgent repair and will cost approximately 600€ with parts, labor, and machining included. Beyond that, the restoration includes:
- Cosmetic and frame cleaning
- Carb tuning and electrical fixes
- Restoring vintage details to original spec
Every cent raised will go directly into this restoration project.
I will also add photos or videos if the project starts going.
As much as I hate asking for financial help, this is a dream I can’t make happen alone. I work hard and live modestly, and with life’s other expenses, there’s simply no room in my budget for a costly cylinder head rebuild.
If you’re a fellow rider, vintage enthusiast, or just someone who appreciates classic craftsmanship, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Even 5€ or 10€ helps me get closer to bringing this rare beauty back to life.
If you can’t donate, you can still help by sharing this campaign with friends, in bike groups, or on social media.
Thank you so much for reading, and for helping me give this bike the second life it deserves.
Ride safe,
Danijel
