Who I Am & Why I’m Collecting

My name is Rania El Amri, I am a medical student in Europe. I am currently collecting funds to help a young Palestinian man named Mahmood, who is responsible for providing for his family of nine.

Current Situation

Mahmood’s father was recently detained by the IDF without explanation, and since then, he has not heard from him or received any information about his whereabouts. This has left Mahmood as the sole caretaker of his family. Among his siblings is a little brother who suffers from a severe skin condition. With no access to proper medical care or medication, the child’s only relief comes from crying through the pain. Even food, which should provide energy and comfort, is scarce, as resources are extremely limited.

Why This Is Important to Me

As a medical student, I see how essential it is for every human being to have access to healthcare, food, and dignity. I have tried to help Mahmood personally with what little I can, but as I am still financially dependent on my parents, my support alone is not enough. Knowing the hardships this family faces has deeply moved me, and I cannot stay silent.

How the Funds Will Be Used

Every contribution will go directly to Mahmood and his family to cover:

• Food and basic survival needs
• Support for his younger brother’s medical condition
• Daily necessities for the family of nine

It is important to note that unfortunately, when money is sent to Palestine, up to 35% of the amount is taken as profit. This makes your generosity even more crucial, as every donation—no matter the size—can still make a real difference in their lives.
