My daughter Frieda attends a sports school – she has loved swimming ever since she was five.
Her goal is to compete in a major championship.
The costs for the school and training are high, but I still want to make it possible for her to live her dream.
Finding sponsors for the children is difficult and only possible through proof of performance... and that means success in every competition.
I don’t want to put that pressure on her – she should swim for the joy and dedication of it.
She has already successfully competed in Hungary and Switzerland, and things are going well at school too.
Frieda has a little brother who always cheers her on and certainly shouldn’t be left in her shadow.
As a single mum, the costs are not easy for me to manage. Both children have goals and wishes that I want to fulfil equally.
Perhaps one or two of you might like to support Frieda’s dream and help make her participation in the training camp in Denmark possible.
