We are Therese and Jeanette, two friends brought together by determination and compassion. Therese has been a runner for many years and completed her first marathon in 2025. Watching her journey inspired Jeanette to start running too. Since then, we have faced winter training, injuries, illness, and even moving house - yet we have kept running, motivated by a shared purpose.

On May 30, 2026, we will run the Stockholm Marathon together. 

Our goal is more than just crossing a finish line. Jeanette aims to complete her first marathon, while Therese wants to beat her personal best. Most importantly, we want to run for a cause close to our hearts: to bring support, love, and hope to families in Gaza who desperately need it.

For the last two and a half years, we have been supporting two families in Gaza, and now we want to raise funds to help them with basic everyday needs - food, medicine, and care. The situation there is still unlivable, and they struggle to meet even the most basic needs of their children and family members.

Meet Amjad & Alma:

Amjad lives with his elderly parents in what remains of their home in northern Gaza. His father is immobilised after a severe stroke and needs constant care, while his mother suffers from painful arthritis. Amjad’s little daughter Alma is four years old, and his wife is expecting their second child. Despite so many challenges, Amjad also cares for a stray cat named Bobo and her newborn kittens, showing kindness in tough times.

Meet Alaa, Hanan, Ahmad, Lana & Their New Baby:

Alaa is a courageous mother of three who has done everything possible to keep her children safe during the ongoing crisis. Her family now lives in a tiny apartment shared with her in-laws; three families are packed into a single room, facing unimaginable hardships. She is also pregnant, which is adding to the pressure and anxiety she already experiences.
