Description
My name is Iván. I have multiple sclerosis, but I haven’t been granted disability status yet; I’ve been waiting for over a year. I can’t do much physical work; I start to feel tired after just 20 minutes.
I was having a cup of tea and realised that there aren’t any quiet cafés – a place where you can read a book in peace. A place with accessible facilities and adapted spaces.
This project would become a way of life, based around reading donated books. A place where people could leave or take books.
The idea would be to set it up in Santiago de Compostela.
Everyone who donates has my deepest gratitude, and their names will be written on the establishment’s commemorative wall.
Carrying out this project is very important to me, because it would make me feel useful and fulfilled. Giving books a new lease of life and providing work for someone.
