Give power to Ukrainian soldiers
Give power to Ukrainian soldiers
What will you fundraise for today?
Description
In August this year I was rear-ended by a drunk driver as I was driving my car through Poland - but bear with me, this is not a fundraiser for me, this was just the event that started it all.
As the insurance deemed my car unworthy of repair due to it's low market value, even though, while the rear is mangled a bit, the car is still driving and everything works. I thought it would be a shame to let a well-looked-after car to go to the crusher, especially since there was no expense spared and only recently I spend over a 1000 euro on suspension overhaul. As I volunteered to deliver cars for Ukrainian army before, I knew that they need not only pick ups and 4x4 but also ordinary cars, as there are countless uses on the frontline where an ordinary passenger car comes useful.
I contacted some of my Ukrainian friends, and it turned out I am right: they don't care if the car is a bit mangled, as long as it drives and goes where it needs to be. I was put in touch with soldiers from 22nd Mechanized Brigade "Mykolaiv", and they confirmed they will be happy to be able to put my old trusty car for use.
But since I am going to drive it to them, surely it would be a shame to arrive empty, right?
I asked what they need. I was told a power supply station, such as EcoFlow Delta 2 Max (or analogues with similar strong output/capacity), is a thing everyone needs around the year. They break constantly from continuous usage, abuse and bombings.
At the moment I can't afford to purchase such a toy myself, as it can cost anything from 1250 to 2000 euro, depending of the supplier. And so I decided to seek others who would like to join me in my efforts to bring some power to Ukrainian soldiers, so please chip in if you can.
Please note: those funds will be used solely for buying electric equipment for the soldiers fighting for Ukrainian freedom, so they can load their phones, laptops and other electronic devices. The car is on me, and none of those funds will be used to cover my travel costs.
