My name is Veronika! I am a daughter, a mother and a teacher. Every year in our village, a camp was organised for children aged 5 to 13. The camp leader has stepped down. I have decided that this year I would like to organise the camp together with a friend. As we’ve missed out on all the camp funding schemes, I’d like to try and raise some money. Working parents need our help. As a mother and a teacher, I know that children also need to keep busy and have fun during the summer, which is what they’ve always had here every year. It’s a sports camp. A different programme every day: trips to the castle, the swimming pool, horse riding, shooting, judo, wall climbing, football, races... and I could go on. Activities in the village and often outside the village. The final day ends every year with a family race in the village (exatlon). I took part in our camp every year. And I felt really good too. And now I’m taking matters into my own hands so that we can keep it going. It’s just financially demanding, as the children eat three meals a day and we often travel outside the village, with entrance fees everywhere... and so on.
