Hello,

my name is Zlatko Popovčić, and I am raising funds to repair the family home where my daughter and her four children live together with me and my wife.

This house has deep roots in our family. It was originally started by my father many years ago. Sadly, he passed away when I was only 17 years old. From that moment on, I carried the responsibility of trying to finish and maintain the home under difficult circumstances.

Over the years, life brought many challenges — the war, long periods of financial hardship, my spine injury and the fact that for a long time I was the only one working to support the family. Step by step, whenever it was possible, I invested what I could into the house.

After the 2020. earthquake, I managed to repair the roof and replace part of the windows and doors. However, the house still suffers from a serious problem: moisture in the walls coming from ground, which creates unhealthy living conditions.

Today, my daughter and her four children live here permanently. My greatest wish is to finally solve the moisture problem, so the house can be safe and healthy for the children. If funds allow, we would also like to add basic exterior insulation, which would significantly improve living conditions and reduce heating costs.

The funds will be used for:

1. repairing moisture damage in the walls
2. materials and labor to stop further dampness
3. basic thermal insulation (if possible)

Any support — even the smallest — helps us move closer to providing a warm, healthy, and dignified home for the children.
