Description
“The Summer School for Chronic Patients” is the only project in Romania that offers children on dialysis and children who have had a transplant the rare chance to experience a few days of normality, as well as to understand what life is like for an adult patient with the same condition. They cannot go to ordinary summer camps, cannot go on holiday, and cannot plan anything without taking into account the treatment that keeps them alive — dialysis, once every two days.
Between 26 August and 1 September, at Saturn, 45–55 children from all six paediatric dialysis centres in Romania will have the chance to see the sea, play, laugh and feel like... children – and so much more.
Everything takes place in a safe environment, with doctors, nurses, psychologists and volunteers by their side.
That’s why one day of your holiday can become a day of life for them.
A day when, even if they go to hospital, the sea awaits them on their return.
A day when their status as patients fades into the background and their childhood shines through.
A day when they feel that the world hasn’t forgotten them.
Your support means light, normality and hope for children who are fighting a battle that no child should ever have to fight.
💛 Every contribution counts. Every gesture makes a difference. Every bit of support changes a day — and sometimes, a life.
