Oreo is a young cat we rescued from the streets last year who was diagnosed with FIP. We suspected the disease when he became sad and lethargic and turned yellow - his mouth, eyes, ears and all his skin. The jaundice comes from liver damage and water accumulates in his abdomen, typical of this disease.

At the Vet5 Veterinary Clinic, a series of tests were performed to diagnose the disease, he received complete therapy and nutritional supplements due to anemia, which for now costs 301.00 euros with discounts that the clinic gave as much as they could, and we are grateful for that.

There was no cure for FIP before, and the mortality rate was high and there was almost no chance of a cure, but currently, "unofficially," there are pills that are given to cats, and many lives have been saved.

The therapy lasts 84 days - a minimum of one tablet per day costs 7 euros and the total cost of the entire process is 588.00 euros. During the entire cycle, the cat is monitored by performing blood tests and abdominal ultrasound to monitor the amount of fluid accumulation. After that, the cat is monitored for another three months to determine that the disease has truly "left" the body.

This is the only day that Oreo beats FIP and lives.

And he has just begun to live and we don't want to lose him.

Everyone knows Ore as a smart and cute cat who goes to the toilet and relieves himself.

He is full of love for all people and animals, he adores dogs and plays with them, and if he sees you, he will come up to you and hug you. :)

For now, we have set a goal of 1300.00 euros (the bill for all tests performed is around 350 euros + the purchase of tablets is around 600 euros + upcoming check-ups, the bills for which we will publish as they arrive).
