My name is Cristina and I need your help

Life has put many challenges in front of me, but none is tougher than the fight I face every day for my health. I have been diagnosed with operated patent ductus arteriosus, aortic bicuspid and ascending aortic aneurysm. The last condition is the most dangerous and annual monitoring is absolutely essential to protect my life.

I am mum to a wonderful little boy who goes to kindergarten. He is my greatest joy, but also the motivation I fight for with all my strength. I want to be by his side, to watch him grow up, to be his support and protection, as every mum dreams. But the reality is painful: the costs of medical investigations, regular check-ups and day-to-day expenses are beyond my financial means which is why my last check-up is in 2023.

No matter how hard I try, the expense of monitoring my health is a huge burden. I live in constant fear that if I can't go for the necessary check-ups, the disease will unknowingly progress and the consequences can be devastating. I'm not asking for much, I'm just asking for a chance to be with my child for as long as possible.
