Marta Kowalska [born 1986] I'm a sensitive soul, an inner and outer explorer and a photographer. For the last 10 years I've been living between Poland and Mexico, where my spiritual path has begun. After having experienced a burnout and depression in 2019 I've paused my commercial photography career for a while to embark on my healing journey. This project is a result of my inner explorations and a homage to the wisdom keepers that have helped me on the way to recover my health and passion for photography that is still my profession after getting out of burn out. Most of my work is shot on analogue film, a characteristic earthy toned palette of colours I use in my works, makes my photography style recognisable in this saturated with imagery world we live in. My intention with this heartfelt project is to raise consciousness about the importance of mental health and coming back to the variety of traditional healing methods we've separated ourselves from in the western culture.
