My name is Mahira :)
Last year I made a big change in my life – I moved from Bosnia to Slovenia. All on my own.
I soon realised that I would never go back. Here, I’ve found peace and a healthy environment. At last.
I started my master’s degree in Slovenia. It was a tough journey at times; I had a lot on my plate. I overcame all the obstacles and I’m very proud of myself. Especially as I’m truly on my own and have no one to support me.
The next step is my final year of study. I’ve only got one more year to go, and then I’ll finally be able to find a job and give back to the society that gave me this opportunity.
The only hurdle is the requirement for a residence permit. It requires proof of sufficient financial means, amounting to 6,000 euros. I already have most of that sum.
But now, having always walked my own path in life, I need a little help.
