Theodora is a brave and much-loved little girl who was born far too early, at just 24 weeks, and has been fighting an impressive battle for every step forward ever since.

Following a cranial haemorrhage at birth, she was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and has already undergone five surgical procedures. She also suffers from spastic tetraparesis and bilateral hip subluxation. Due to her spasticity, Theodora is in pain and cannot stand or sit unaided.

In December, immediately after her birthday, Theodora is due to undergo a myofibrotomy procedure in Serbia, performed by Dr Marcel Platon. This operation could change her life — it will reduce her pain and spasticity, giving her the chance to use her body more effectively and, perhaps, to take her first steps.

The procedure will cost €3,500, followed by intensive therapy sessions, the costs of which are far beyond our means.

Any help makes a huge difference in ensuring Theodora can have a pain-free life and greater independence.
