I am Kíra Roxána Benkucs, 20 years old. I am a world and European champion canoeist and last year I was a reserve at the Paris Olympics. Unfortunately, I could not compete this season due to a long illness and injury.

I have a spinal condition: my ligaments are loose, which has caused instability. I have already undergone a so-called PRP therapy in my back, which was successful, but now I need to repeat the treatment in the upper spine, at the C1 vertebra. The reason for this is that I had previously been in a car accident which injured my first vertebra and the consequences of this have now come to a head.

Over the past year I have had numerous treatments: muscle pacemaker, magnetic therapy, microcurrent therapy, manual therapy, physiotherapy, shockwave therapy on a daily basis, and I could go on. Despite all this, there is only one effective solution to this injury: PRP therapy in a very specific area. This type of intervention is performed by very few doctors, but fortunately there is one working in Hungary, where we have also successfully performed the previous treatment.

At the moment, I cannot train, row, compete or even live a full life.I have not been able to get out of bed and I have had to call an ambulance because of the pain.

Please help me to get back on the water! The cost of the necessary intervention is 1 920 EUR or 750 000 FT and I need your support.

As the required amount has been raised and exceeded, I will leave the collection up for another week to be used for further rehabilitation costs. These include massage, special pacemaker physiotherapy and the purchase of equipment for home exercise.
