Description
20,000 euros to leave the past behind, complete my evening diploma and open my own barber shop with dignity and honest work.
My name is Francesco, and writing these words is not easy.
I grew up without a father. He abandoned me when I was little, and growing up without guidance means learning everything on your own. Sometimes you learn well. Sometimes you make mistakes.
In my life, I have made mistakes and gone through difficult times that have left me with debts to the bank. Today, I am reported to CRIF, and this means that doors are constantly closed to me, even when you have decided within yourself that you really want to change.
But I don't want my story to be defined by the absence of a father or the mistakes of the past.
I want to build something of my own.
I want to become the man I would have liked to have had by my side as a child.
My dream is to open a barber shop. A simple, authentic place, based on honest work and relationships. A place where every customer feels welcome, listened to and respected. For me, it wouldn't just be a shop: it would be a symbol of my redemption.
I would like to attend evening hairdressing classes because I want to do it the right way, with professionalism and dignity. I study, I work hard, I don't back down.
Along the way, I also achieved a goal that meant a lot to me: I came second in Italy in a national barbering competition.
That day, as I worked with my hands in front of judges and professionals, I realised something important: my dream is not just an idea. It is a real possibility.
For me, that second place was not just a prize. It was proof that I can build a different future for myself than the one life had presented me with.
To pay off my debts, sort out my situation and complete the process that will allow me to open my own barber shop, I need to raise £20,000.
It's not easy to ask for help.
For years, I thought I had to do it alone, because I've always been alone.
Today, however, I realise that asking for help to get back on my feet is not a sign of weakness: it is courage.
Every contribution, no matter how small, means trust to me. It means saying, 'Your story doesn't end here.
I promise that I will use every euro responsibly and transparently.
And I promise that this opportunity will become real work, real commitment, value for others.
If you cannot contribute financially, even sharing is a huge gesture for me.
Thank you to those who want to help me turn a difficult story into a story of redemption. ❤️
