There is tremendous power in the unity we can achieve together. It has been proven time and again that even a small contribution can go a long way: you have helped raise funds for comprehensive medical care for several dogs, we’ve already settled all the bills for the Ózd kennels, and we’ve eased the financial burden on the Füzesabony Animal Welfare Foundation in caring for their dogs with heartworm.

Now is the time for the ‘Friends of Perec’ miracle to happen for Max too, so if you can, I’d be grateful if you could contribute to the fundraising. As you know, even the price of a coffee can make a huge difference; even small donations can change lives!

Max is due to undergo an expensive heartworm treatment, which will cost around half a million forints. In addition, I’d like to ensure that he goes to a new owner with a full understanding of his health, so I’d also like to have an X-ray and a routine blood test carried out, which will cost a further 70,000 forints or so.

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL. 👀

I recently came across Manna’s story on Instagram; she spent three days without food or water, waiting to die as a prisoner in an illegal bear trap. She was found and treated, but the outcome was uncertain; many vets recommended putting her to sleep. Not so Dr Ipolyi at Fuziovet, who carried out several rounds of life-saving surgery on Manna and have been treating her ever since. Manna’s will to live is, in itself, incredibly moving and inspiring, but on top of that, she is also a beautiful little dog.

The cost of the operations in her case exceeds 1.5 million forints, whilst her weekly treatment costs (dressings, blood cell therapy) amount to a further 80,000 forints for the foundation.

I thought we could help them ease this financial burden by trying to raise this amount – and a little extra – which will then cover his weekly treatments.
