Start Suceava Sports Club is more than just a football club – it is an educational project dedicated to children’s development through sport and values. With a modern approach and a vision focused on holistic development, Start Club aims to create an environment in which every child learns to become a champion, not just on the pitch, but in life too.

The Start Campus project is an important step in this direction. Located in Dumbrăveni, Suceava County, Start Campus will serve as our own sports base. Currently, Start Club rents a pitch in this town, under a five-year contract with the option to extend. With the help of the funds raised, we aim to transform this pitch into a modern facility that meets the training and competition needs of the club’s children.

In the spring of 2024, we managed to carry out the first essential works, which included levelling and grading the land, as well as preparatory excavations for the installation of a modern irrigation system. Unfortunately, a lack of funds has halted the implementation of this system, which is preventing us from proceeding with the next stages of the project.

Every month, in addition to the rent we pay for the leased land in Dumbrăveni, where we plan to build Start Campus, we must also cover the costs of the facilities where we currently operate from the club’s funds. These include the halls and pitches at our current training venues, which are necessary to provide the children with suitable training conditions. In addition, we cover the coaches’ salaries and other operational expenses essential to the club’s running.

Given these ongoing costs, it becomes extremely difficult to allocate our own funds—which come mainly from the monthly fees paid by the children’s parents—towards the construction of the sports centre. For this reason, we rely heavily on donations and sponsorship to make Start Campus a reality. Community support is vital to continuing this project and providing the children with the modern facilities they need to develop their potential.

The current conditions in which our children train do not reflect the level of dedication and passion we invest in their development. For example, the Start U15 team, which competes on full-size pitches, is forced to train on a smaller pitch. This discrepancy affects the children’s tactical and technical preparation, limiting their ability to practise in conditions similar to those in official matches.

Furthermore, many of the pitches where county competitions are held are in a deplorable state, with more dirt than grass, bumps and potholes that not only affect the quality of play but can also endanger the children’s health. We cannot remain indifferent to these problems and believe it is our duty to take action to improve the situation.

By building Start Campus, we will not only provide our children with suitable training and safety conditions, but we will also demonstrate that a modern infrastructure, built with the support of the community, can become a national example. We firmly believe that, with your support, we can turn this vision into reality.

In the spring of 2025, we intend to resume work on the Start Campus sports facility, following a well-defined plan.

The first step will be to fence off the leased land, an essential step to ensure the protection and demarcation of the playing surface. Subsequently, we will move on to the construction of the synthetic pitch, which will include laying the base layer and installing the artificial playing surface. In parallel, for the natural pitch, it will be necessary to complete the irrigation system, followed by levelling, applying the sand layer and sowing the grass. All these stages are essential to provide our children with optimal training conditions and safety on the pitch.

We are committed to managing every leu received with the utmost transparency. All expenditure from the funds raised will be accounted for by invoices, which will be published on this page. We will also regularly update information on the project’s progress, the amounts required for the next stages, and the results achieved.
