ABOUT THE PICTURE BOOK - PREVIOUS POSTS

Sanela Marta Kozbašić wrote a story for a picture book called "Bus Driver". The script was written by Goran Nikolašević, and the illustrations were done by our famous illustrator and caricaturist Nik Titanik. The aim of the picture book is to introduce children and young people to the profession of bus driver, which school you need to go to to become a bus driver, what types of buses there are, and so on. There is a large shortage of bus drivers throughout the European Union, and many public transport operators are having problems with this.

We are raising funds to produce the picture book itself. We need to pay the illustrator and the printer, which are the largest individual costs, and for a minimum print run of 500 copies, we need around 4,500 euros. The remaining amount would be used to cover other costs that are also present. If the requested amount were to be exceeded, we would use the money to print a larger number of picture books.

The illustrator created the outer cover of the picture book for us for promotional purposes and you can see the layout below. This is what the cover looks like when the book is opened. On the right is the front of the book, on the left is the back of the book, and in the middle is the fold. It will be hardcover. The picture book will have 22 pages. The dimensions of the book will be 22x22 cm.

As a token of appreciation for donations of 14 euros and above, donors will receive a copy of the picture book when it is printed, signed by the author and producer. Smaller donations are also welcome and will be gratefully received.

The planned completion of the illustration of the picture book (interior pages, imprint, ISBN and CIP numbers) is the end of October 2024, and the book should be published by the end of 2024. Immediately upon receipt of the books, they will be delivered via the regular (regular) postal service of the Croatian Post to donors who donate at least 14 euros, and this delivery is free of charge on the territory of the Republic of Croatia. If donors from other countries appear, postage will be charged depending on the amount of the donation. If the donation also covers the cost of delivery, then it will not be charged separately. Therefore, we advise that the donation be over 15 euros for those donating outside of Croatia.

Thank you and we wish you a pleasant reading!
