My name is Joanna, and together with my sister Magda, we are raising funds to save the life of our Dad, Ryszard. About 17 years ago, he won the battle against kidney cancer. Unfortunately, after many years, the problems have returned. In the autumn of 2024, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Our Dad has undergone many complex tests and procedures. After dramatic months full of struggle, his condition was finally stabilized. Sadly, not for long.

Now our Dad’s condition has drastically worsened. In the middle of the night, he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Consultations with many doctors in Poland made us realize that treatment options here have been exhausted – specialists do not see any chance for surgery. Searching for help, we found hope in a clinic in Lisbon. After reviewing our Dad’s medical history, the specialists there agreed to take on his treatment. They are ready to perform an operation that gives us hope for his recovery. We must act immediately, as his condition is critical. At this moment, we need to raise about 10,000 euros. A twin fundraising campaign is being conducted on a Polish platform and covers a larger portion of the surgery costs.

Our Dad worked as a firefighter, and in his free time he loves traveling, tinkering, and watching good movies and TV series.

He spent his whole life helping others. Now it is he who needs help. While organizing everything, we feel how overwhelming this race against time is. But we will not give up, because this is about saving our Dad’s life ❤
