Trail Running Fundraiser

Τhis fundraiser supports the Friends of Andros Firefighters (FAFFERS)—a local charity dedicated to strengthening the island’s fire and emergency response team.

Andros is the greenest island in the Cyclades, with rich forests, abundant water, and unique biodiversity. But in summer, the population grows from 9,000 to nearly 40,000, increasing the risk of wildfires and emergencies dramatically.

Unfortunately, government funding does not cover essential needs such as:

🔥 updated firefighting equipment

👨‍🚒 new uniforms

📚 proper training for volunteer firefighters

Many of the fire trucks are over 20 years old, and some uniforms are worn out or damaged, limiting the number of firefighters who can respond when disaster strikes.

We are proud to have dedicated volunteers, but we need your help to properly equip them. Every donation, big or small, helps save lives, protect our forests, and keep Andros safe for residents and visitors alike.
