(UA) Emergency fundraiser for keeping rescued animals warm
Description
Ukraine has been facing weeks of extreme cold. In Kyiv, massive russian attacks on the energy infrastructure caused an emergency situation and left the city without heating and electricity for weeks now. Our area - Boryspil region is among the most affected with electricity being absent for days on end (and whenever it does come back it's for 2-4 hours). The water pipes froze already in December. Temperatures have dropped to around –20°C, and even colder weather is expected next week.
Our rescued cats and goats, evacuated from frontline areas, are now at serious risk. The cat rooms are currently heated with wood, but our supplies are almost exhausted. The goats’ barn urgently needs better insulation, as well as hay and grain, to protect the animals from freezing temperatures.
To secure the animals’ survival, we urgently need to cover the following essentials:
• (cats) Half a ton of firewood plus coal and fire starters: 280 €
• (cats) Carbon monoxide detector: 20 €
• (kitten room) Heating pads for the kitten room (3 pieces): 80 €
• (goats) Insulation foam and straw for the goats, plus hay and grain for food: 300 €
Every small help counts!❤
