Gurtum Foundation to help civilians affected by Russian attacks in Kiyv

You wake up, but not from the alarm clock, but from an explosion. You fall out of bed as plaster crumbles from the ceiling. The windows - smashed to pieces on the floor. You are alive. Outside the door - neighbors with bloodied faces, children who lost their shoes in the panic. You are not at the front. The front has come to you.

The Gurtum Foundation works tirelessly on the ground - where the blows don't stop, and the need for support grows every day.

Now in its third year, our team in Kiev is welcoming volunteers from around the world who are joining our efforts to clear and rebuild damaged buildings in the immediate aftermath of bombing and to provide support to civilians in the wake of the massive Russian attacks on the city.

🔧 How are we helping?

🏚 Clear and secure residential areas

• After each attack, our volunteers and specialists enter hazardous areas to clear debris, restore access to homes, and salvage victims' personal belongings and documents.
• We provide protective clothing, tools and coordinate teams.
• We purchase building materials needed to secure affected homes and store them until the owners can organize repair activities.

🛠 Restoring public spaces

• We help repair kindergartens, schools and public buildings affected by attacks or blast waves. We work side-by-side with communities and volunteers from multiple organizations in Kiiv.

💛 But to keep going - we need you.

Donations allow us to be where the state fails to reach in time. With every donation, you are there - in the rubble, in the dark mornings when we go to survey the damage on the ground, in the tears and in the hope.
