Description
Hello,
it all started as in most cases - inconspicuously and suddenly.
In May of this year, I noticed in my 4-year-old Snickers cat a decreased appetite, less physical activity, weight fluctuations and excessive drooling.
After consulting with the vet, it was determined that the source of these behaviors was a renewed problem with tartar, which he had been struggling with previously and had already undergone 2 dental procedures. In July, after the 3rd procedure, Snickers lost all his teeth.
Although the wound healing period was long, his condition improved a little, but he did not fully recover.
He was reluctant to eat and it became increasingly noticeable that he had an imbalance.
Previously, no heights were scary to him, but suddenly he started misjudging the height and distance to the target and stopped jumping.
Snickers has been a fighter since a young age with an extensive health record. He had suspected lymphoma when he was not even a year old yet. However, it turned out that he had calicivirus.
The vets were impressed with how this little rascal was bravely fighting for life, as they initially assessed his health to be very bad and I was told that I should prepare for his departure to the other side of the rainbow.
We did not give up and came out of it, but we are facing another battle.
Unfortunately, I am currently in a difficult time in my life, in which I am also struggling with a huge mental and financial burden related to my personal health situation.
So far, tests and visits to various specialists for Snickers, to correctly diagnose the disease, have consumed all my savings.
Of course, I do not regret this money, as well as I am determined to make every attempt to save my cat.
I am very much asking for your support.
