Community Cleanup Initiative

Green Island Malta is a volunteer-driven community initiative dedicated to cleaning beaches, coastal areas, parks and public spaces across Malta.

Malta is a beautiful island visited by millions of people every year, yet many natural areas suffer from litter and pollution. Our goal is to bring together volunteers who care about the environment and want to protect the island’s natural beauty.

This project aims to organize regular community cleanups where volunteers work together to collect waste and restore public areas. At the same time, we want to raise awareness about environmental responsibility and encourage a culture of respect for nature.

To make these cleanup events possible, we are raising funds to support our volunteers and provide the necessary equipment.

Donations will help us provide:

• safety vests for volunteers
• gloves
• garbage bags
• rakes
• brooms
• litter pickers (trash picker tools)
• basic cleaning equipment
• drinking water, coffee and sandwiches for volunteers
• transportation and proper disposal of collected waste

Every contribution helps us organize safe and effective cleanup actions and allows more people to join the initiative.

We believe that small actions can lead to big changes when a community comes together. By working side by side, we can protect Malta’s natural environment and create cleaner spaces for residents and visitors alike.
