Description

We need your donations for our wild hedgehog Freddyline's care and territory 🦔🇩🇪🩷 please help us protect this charming little spikeball 🦔

"Hi! I am Freddyline, an approx. 10 months old hedgehog girl. And this is my story:

I was found underneath a balcony mid November 2025 where a kind lady had set up a hedgehog sleeping house and fresh water and food. When she found me sniffing there, and saw how small I was, the lady took me in, weighed me and called a hedgehog rescue as I was freezing, too small (~500g) and had several health issues. Following the advice of the hedgehog rescue, my new humom let me move in into their bathroom, in a cosy box with a warm water bottle, soft bedding and food and water. I felt a lot better but my new humom needed help with treating my health issues. So she researched quite a while until she found an experienced hedgehog nurse who agreed to take care of me during the winter: medical treatments of my bacterial and fungal infections, treatments against ticks, flees, worms, ... Now that I've woken up from hibernation, the hedgehog nurse is giving me the last rounds of medical care, before I can move back to my territory underneath the balcony. My humom is meanwhile preparing everything for my arrival and setting up this fundraiser. We will need your help to buy

my food,

my territory setup,

my future vet bills and

the purchase of a good wildlife camera which will allow you to see what I am up to!

Please help us with your donation and by sharing our profile with your friends. Thank you! Hedgehugs from Freddyline 🦔🩷

PS: Hedgehogs are at the risk of extinction and a protected species in Germany. Warm winters, droughts in summer, due to global warming, the dangers in the gardens (mowing robots, chemicals, pesticides...) are threatening the German hedgehogs. The ones surviving are plagued by numerous diseases (ticks, flees, mites, worms, mycoses, bacterial infections) due to the difficult conditions. That's why it's important to keep gardens accessible and safe for hedgehogs, to set up safe and dry hiding spots and to also offer clean water and hedgehog friendly food all year round. Especially in urban areas, hedgehogs, as synanthropes, are needing human support.

Together, we can make at least Freddyline's life easier, safer, and healthier! 🦔🇩🇪🩷
