6th INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OF COLLABORATIVE & INDEPENDENT CINEMA

The International Cooperative & Independent Film Festival is the only festival in Greece that focuses on showcasing films from around the world that have been created through a cooperative model—where all participating creators equally invest both labor and capital and share profits from film sales equally—without relying on public subsidies. The selection of films based on their cooperative production process is the festival’s core philosophy, aiming to highlight cooperation as a sustainable and democratic model for the creation and dissemination of artistic works.

The 6th edition is scheduled to take place from September 6 to 13, 2025, featuring a new lineup of films screened in outdoor venues in the areas of Dafni & Hymettus. For this reason, we are once again requesting support for the Festival. We have already received over 330 submissions from 67 countries. Seventy films will be selected, all of which will be subtitled in Greek.

Networking

At the festival, we aim to create a space for meaningful networking and exchange between artists from Greece and abroad, as well as between artists and audiences. Within this framework, our primary interest is the collective exploration, understanding, and sharing of cooperative production models and practices as a strategy for creating opportunities for emerging filmmakers to access the world of cinema and ensure the sustainability of their work.

During the festival, we seek to foster a vibrant social space where artists and audiences can meet, engage in dialogue, exchange ideas and experiences, and envision future collaborative projects.
