My dad is my hero.

he has always been there for me. I am 30 now, and when I was 12 I wanted to live with my dad since my parents got divorced when I was 2 and up until that point I had just lived with my mom.

my mom didn’t like this and called CPS and my dad got a real bad injury from working at a gas station when I was 5 resulting in him getting a prosthetic hip and knee and gets painkillers prescribed for his injuries. Because of that CPS figured that the odds of me starting drugs was too high since he takes painkillers and therefore I must be placed in an institution. I was there from the day i turned 13 up until my 20th birthday. During that time my dad keeps fighting for custody of me the whole time and even sold his house that he bought at the age of 23 to cover lawyer bills and did everything in his power to let me stay with him which i wanted to begin with but instead we ended up not seeing each other for 7 years.

but during my time at the institution I developed a drug problem which resulted in me and my dad not really having any contact because I’ve been to deep in my things. Recently I moved in with him, got clean and we can finally get to know each other again after all this time and be an actual family. He is 68 and I would just love to get to chance to visit USA and see where he went to high school, or travel to Japan and experience Tokyo with him or travel to Germany during oktoberfest. Anything fun and exciting and wonderful the world has to offer I would love to experience with my dad while there is still time to do so and if anyone wants to help me make it happen so I can surprise him with this amazing trip i would be so very grateful.
