Recently, my life has been severely affected by seizures and a number of neurological symptoms for which no precise cause has yet been identified, including headaches, nausea, episodes of weakness and neurological episodes that are difficult to explain.

Following several neurological consultations, I have been advised to continue my investigations at a specialist centre in Rome, in order to try to determine as precisely as possible where these episodes originate and what is causing them.

The investigations may include complex monitoring of brain activity, MRI scans and tests such as SPECT or PET, which can help doctors identify any areas of the brain that may be involved. Depending on the results, SEEG may also be necessary; this is a specialised procedure in which very fine electrodes are placed in specific areas of the brain to identify more precisely the area from which the seizures originate.

These investigations are complex and costly, and I am trying to raise the funds needed to travel to Italy and continue the investigations.
