Neurodivers was founded out of a desire to raise awareness of neurodiversity and disability. In our country, education on this subject is virtually non-existent; people still have a misconception about what it means to be neurodivergent or to live with a disability. We lack sufficient education and information, and this leads to prejudice and a lack of support.

Many still believe that disability simply means being in a wheelchair. But the reality is far more complex: disability also includes ADHD, autism, severe anxiety, brain injuries, learning difficulties and many other conditions that aren’t visible to the naked eye.

We want to change this misconception and show that disability has many faces, and each one deserves to be understood and respected.

So far, we have done this through volunteering. But, in order to move forward and make a real impact, we want to become a registered charity. 

With your support, we can create projects, workshops and campaigns, and be a stronger voice for the community.

From introducing a disability badge and safe spaces for neurodivergent people, to introducing quiet hours in public spaces, as those at Cărurești did in collaboration with us, and many other initiatives that are currently lacking in Romania.

We also wish to implement training for employers, medical staff and all those who work directly with people, so that every sector is prepared to support and understand people with disabilities and/or neurodivergent individuals.

Any contribution, however small, brings us closer to our goal.
