Good morning, my daughter’s difficult situation, along with that of my one-year-old grandson, has prompted me to set up a fundraising campaign. The flat she was renting was flooded. It is now completely unfit for habitation. My grandson’s father has no interest in them whatsoever; he offers no help whatsoever, either practical or financial, so my daughter and grandson are currently staying with us temporarily.Not long ago, my mother inherited a flat from her late brother and is happy to give it to my daughter, her granddaughter and great-grandson. The flat is in a terrible state and, at the moment, is practically no different from those flooded by the flood, as shown in the photo of the flat.In reality, everything in the flat needs renovating: from disinfecting the property, to the electrical wiring, plumbing, removing the plaster, new flooring, walls and furnishings – there is absolutely nothing there. As the father, I will of course help as much as I can; I am able to carry out the renovation myself to reduce costs, but I am also the sole breadwinner for a family of six, so I cannot bear the financial burden alone. I am therefore asking for help so that my grandson can grow up in normal living conditions and so that my daughter does not have to worry about where she will live; she will own this flat and, most importantly, it will be far from flood-prone areas. I would be very grateful for any donations, even small amounts – every zloty counts.
