The blood test results came as a complete surprise. “It’s wiped us out in a couple of months” – there are endless queues everywhere just to see a doctor. Private treatment is expensive. We’ve turned to everyone… from oncologists to talking to a priest and even higher powers… It’s so humiliating to have to bow our heads and ask strangers for help, when my mum has worked for nearly 35 years… please, please help us!
