ROIBU Miruna Teodora is a little girl of almost 8 years old, who was born with Down’s syndrome and spastic tetraparesis. Through therapy, she has made enormous progress. She has been undergoing physiotherapy and Vojta therapy since she was 5 months old, but at two and a half years old she could not even hold her head up. She has recently made further progress through the Freamăt de Speranță Association in Câmpulung Moldovenesc. Last year, she underwent two operations for hip dislocation in both hips. She was in a cast for 4 months and took an 8-month break from therapy. She resumed therapy in June and has been attending the clinic for two weeks a month for the past six months, and the little girl has recovered very well.

The costs of the therapies are high, on top of all the expenses for medicines, nappies, food, regular tests, check-ups and... the list goes on. At present, Miruna cannot move her little legs, she does not speak but only babbles, and she needs constant support and therapy. The little girl’s parents , Viorel and Mariana Roibu, work tirelessly and are making every possible effort, even following an operation for prostate cancer. I have also attached the disability certificate.
