Imagine that, years ago, you’d had the chance to support a world-famous young film composer as he took his first big step.

Now, perhaps, the same opportunity is before you.

My name is Botond Kovács, a 19-year-old composer and pianist from Hungary.

Composing has long been my greatest passion. I compose in a variety of styles , and at the age of 18 I was already able to premiere my own piano concerto with a symphony orchestra. 🎹

In recent years, I have achieved significant results in numerous national and international music competitions, and I was also invited to perform at a piano festival in France. 🥇 I have taken part in a great many creative musical projects and have also carried out research in the field of music.

I was recently accepted onto Berklee College of Music, one of the world’s most prestigious music universities, where artists who went on to inspire millions with their music studied; Quincy Jones, the producer of Michael Jackson’s *Thriller* album; Péter Bence, the world-famous Hungarian pianist and composer; and Howard Shore, the composer of the *Lord of the Rings* trilogy. 🎶

This is the greatest opportunity of my life.

My aim is to be among the world’s leading film composers in the future and to put the knowledge I’ve gained abroad to good use in Hungary too.

However, I need further help to begin my first semester of studies: I still need to raise 6.3 million forints by 31 July so that I can start my studies in Boston in September. 🪙

I was recently admitted to the Berklee College of Music, one of the world’s most prestigious music institutions, where artists who went on to inspire millions through their music once studied—including Quincy Jones, producer of Michael Jackson’s *Thriller*; Péter Bence, the internationally acclaimed Hungarian pianist and composer; and Howard Shore, the composer of *The Lord of the Rings* trilogy. 🎶

This is the greatest opportunity of my life.

My aim is to become one of the world’s leading film composers and also to bring the knowledge and experience I gain abroad back to Hungary.

However, I still need further support to begin my first semester: I must raise an additional €17,800 by 31 July in order to start my studies in Boston this September. 🪙
