Years ago, someone stood alongside Quincy Jones, Howard Shore or Péter Bence when nobody knew what they would go on to achieve. Now you might be part of a similar moment. ✨

My name is Botond Kovács, a 19-year-old composer and pianist from Hungary. At the age of 18, I was already able to premiere my own piano concerto with a symphony orchestra, and this year I’ve been accepted onto Berklee College of Music – one of the world’s most prestigious music universities, from which the names mentioned above also set out. 🎵

Very few Hungarians manage to get in, so this is an opportunity that will allow me to step into the forefront of the world of film music. My aim is to put the knowledge I gain there to good use in Hungary in the future. 🇭🇺

What exactly is it all about? I still need to raise €17,800 by 31 July. This includes:

➡️ tuition fees;

➡️ health insurance;

➡️ and the cost of a basic food package.

Berklee has also awarded me a substantial scholarship, and I’ve received significant help with accommodation, but now I need your help to overcome the remaining financial difficulties! 🪙

I must transfer this amount to the institution by 31 July at the latest.

As a Hungarian student, very few people ever get the opportunity to study here. This is a chance for me to step onto the international stage of film music. One of my goals is to bring the knowledge and experience I gain abroad back to Hungary and help enrich its musical community. 🇭🇺

So what’s this all about?
