Description
A House of Light in a Time of Darkness
In the eye of the storm, where fire consumes all in its path, lives a family... Two years ago, they were like any other family. They had walls that sheltered them, windows that let in the sun, and a warm dinner table to gather around. They had a home.
Today, their home is a tattered piece of cloth called a "tent," standing helpless against the bitter winter winds. This is Noor al-Qurm's world now.
In October 2023, their endless journey of flight began. More than ten times, Noor gathered his wife, his young children Ru'a (6 years old) and Ibrahim (8 years old), and his elderly father, burdened by years, and fled from death, from one place to another. They finally settled—if it can be called settling—in this temporary shelter that preserves no dignity and offers no warmth against the night's cold.
Ibrahim, the child who should carry a pencil and notebook, now carries a large plastic container to help his father on the daily quest for a drop of water. These are his duties now. This is his childhood.
Ru'a, that little flower—her world grows blurrier by the day. Vision problems requiring urgent treatment, in conditions that make even seeing tomorrow difficult.
As for Noor, his entire existence is a daily battle: a battle to find a loaf of bread, a battle to light a heater that defies the cold, a battle to keep hope alive in his children's eyes. He asks only for the basics: a real roof to protect them, enough food to sustain them, and safety to shield them.
This is no longer just about help... it has become a rescue.
Every donation you make, no matter the size, is a brick in rebuilding this shattered home. It is a boost of hope for treating Ru'a's eyes. It is a guarantee of a warm meal for Ibrahim's small body. It is warmth for an elderly father's frail bones. It is the restoration of dignity for a man who has struggled and remained a candle lighting the way for his family in the darkness of war.
Let us help Noor rebuild his real "home." A house of safety, a house of warmth, a house of... Light.
Let us give them more than mere survival... let us give them a life.
