Description
Unfortunately, Dobby is one of those cases where you’re born under a very unlucky star. He was found abandoned as a puppy years ago in Reggio Calabria, at a time when there were no agreements with animal shelters. The person who found him—an ordinary local woman—fed him, looked after him and sought a home for the little one, who was eventually given to a lady with whom, until she had no major mental health or financial issues, he lived a wonderful life. But sadly, today Dobby is hospitalised at the Catona Dog Shelter, and although his test results are good today, he still cannot walk. He suffered a devastating internal haemorrhage, but as a true warrior, made it through. I couldn’t bring myself to abandon him, and to date I have already paid €1,300 out of my own pocket for hospitalisation, X-rays, tests, baths and veterinary care. The tests revealed that his Rickettsia levels are sky-high and his Leishmaniasis is extremely high. Unfortunately, he is still in hospital and just as much money will be needed to get him back on his feet, which I do not have at the moment. I am therefore asking for financial help but even more than financial help, a gesture of great solidarity for a little one who is only 4 years old and cannot move as he should, because physiotherapy is expensive and, unfortunately, I do not have the financial means to cover all the veterinary costs on my own
