I'm on a mission to gather 10,000 kind people who'll each just donate $1 to help me buy my dream car!

My dream car is a Mazda MX-5 NC (3). Some might call this foolish - how can this be my dream car? Most of them are over 10 years old, relatively cheap, just a Miata, a little two-seater sports car that’s slow and doesn’t have enough power. But, in my opinion, these are exactly the things that make it so unique. As an 18-year-old who has to balance a lot of other priorities, it’s also the perfect option. It’s affordable to own and maintain, fun to drive, and doesn’t feel like a compromise.

I’ve had the chance to drive multiple Miatas and other cars aswell, and honestly, nothing compares to the driving experience that these little cars offer. For me, it’s a no-brainer. Let me explain why:

• The Looks: Specifically, the second and third sub-generations of the NCs have a big, cheerful smile that I absolutely adore. Every time I see it, I can’t help but smile back.

• The Roadster Experience: It’s not just any roadster, as it comes with a retractable hardtop option (aka PRHT), which is simply the best. Watching the top open and close is so satisfying, and it combines the fun of open-air driving with the practicality of a hardtop, for example better heat and sound insulation.

• Customization Potential: The MX-5 is one of the most popular sports cars ever made, and for good reason! It’s easily modifiable, which is super important to me as a car enthusiast. Whether it’s small tweaks or big upgrades, I love the idea of making the car truly mine and enhancing the driving experience.

• The Community: This car has an amazing community. Even without owning one yet, I already feel welcomed. I can’t wait to officially join by owning a Miata, sharing my thoughts, and posting pictures.

With all of this in mind - and so much more - this car is perfect for me. I’m completely in love, and now all I need is to own one.
