Marina, from Concarn, and Mikael, my husband, from Brest, have owned our house for 5 years... we fell in love with it for our children, and it was necessary for us to work in it while taking care of children who have been damaged by life...

It's meant to be a large house for 8 people, approved for working in... everything is there to make you feel good...

However, 45 days after our purchase, in the middle of the night, water leaked from our kitchen light fittings, and all hell broke loose.

We soon realised that this was nothing new, and that the 10-year-old house had already had many problems of this type... But it's too late, there's no turning back... The COVID period didn't help matters...

Then the legal spiral set in... it's long... very long... 1st expert opinion in 2021... Lawyer's fees and advances that we have to pay even though we're victims of a bad situation...

We're suffocating under the weight of the legal fees... Heating bills that are beyond comprehension, humidity is expensive to heat.... a room that's completely mouldy... I'm having to give up my job, losing an income in the process... Then the vagaries of my health, which plummeted in 2024 with the discovery of a degenerative disease... I sank into a severe depression...

We could no longer pay our lawyer, and an expert demanded 5,000 euros to continue his assessment...

We're selling one car to repair the other, and every day is a nightmare with bills piling up...

This house, which is our work tool, is becoming our burden... But justice is slow... and far too expensive for us to afford...

So we came up with the idea of this fund to help us pay our lawyer so that the courts can recognise that we are victims of betrayal, hidden defects and breach of trust.

So that we can show our 3 children that we still have the strength to fight for them, for ourselves...

I believe in people... I've done my job there... I believe that all of us, just a little bit, can do a lot...
