My name is Milan, I’m 22 years old, and I live and work in the Czech Republic. I’m reaching out with a very personal request — something that’s been affecting me deeply for most of my life.

As a child, I wasn’t taught the importance of dental hygiene. On top of that, I developed a hysterical fear of dentists after a traumatic experience — a molar was pulled out without anesthesia because I was too scared of the needle. Since then, I’ve avoided dental visits out of fear and shame. Over the years, my teeth have suffered, and so has my mental health.

Since elementary school, I’ve dealt with low self-esteem. I avoid smiling, speak quietly to hide my teeth, and I often isolate myself because of anxiety. I live in constant discomfort — not just physical, but emotional.

Now I want to change that. I dream of smiling again without shame. But quality dental care is extremely expensive, especially here in the Czech Republic. I work full time, but with my current income, reaching this goal is impossible.

The estimated cost of full dental restoration (front upper teeth and molars) with implants and proper treatment is around 5,000 EUR. This would completely change my life — not just on the outside, but within.
