Please help me raise money for veterinary treatment for my dog, who urgently needs surgery on his front paw – his paws – because he has a tumour growing on his front paw between his toes, which is causing him severe pain and hindering his walking. As he also has problems with his hind paws and finds it difficult to walk, this greatly impedes his ability to walk normally.

Because of the pain, he sometimes refuses to get out of bed to go for a walk or to relieve himself, he holds it in until it really is too much and he has to go out, which isn’t good for his digestive system to be holding in urine and faeces, and it isn’t good for his heart either because he doesn’t move much, and I’m very afraid that he might fall ill because of this as well.

Every day we have to help him get out of bed because his paws and spine hurt so much due to all these problems with the tumour, which distorts his gait and causes him pain.

Diablo is like a child to me, a member of my family who always comes first, and that is why he needs help as soon as possible, which is why I am kindly asking you for help; my heart is breaking because I know he depends on me and I cannot offer him the help he needs right now on my own.

As I am also in financial difficulty, I can barely scrape together enough money for the bills, and sometimes I find myself short of funds and unable to pay a bill because I have to buy dog food, tablets for internal and external parasites, painkillers for the dog – whatever the dog needs... I have to buy these things for him even if I don’t have enough to pay for our own things; that’s just how it is when you have a dog – you have to make sacrifices for him just as you would for a child.

Yes, I also have a child and a husband who’s been ill for three years and has barely survived; I have to buy medicines for him and for myself at the chemist’s,I have to buy medicines from the chemist, which aren’t cheap, and because of all this, I can’t afford to pay for everything and do what I should.

That is why, with a heavy heart, I have decided to reach out and ask people from all over the world for help, because I really need urgent help, as I cannot manage on my own.

I’m not used to asking for help from people I don’t know, but as I can’t solve the problem on my own at the moment, I’ve decided to ask for help.

And I sincerely hope that I will receive help and support from all of you who love animals and care about their suffering.

I have also asked various animal welfare organisations, various radio stations, and various well-known animal advocates, but no one has responded to my request.

Only one organisation published my story about Diablot and raised €200 in donations from the public, but unfortunately this is not enough for the operation.

They paid for a consultation costing around €90 so we could find out what is growing on his paw and what to do next.

The operation is so expensive because they will have to amputate – cut off a toe or two – to remove the tumour and save his paw. So you can understand why it is so expensive.

A photo is attached on the first page so you can see what his paw looks like; this lump is growing bigger every day, so I’m begging you on my knees to help me.

The worst thing is that the vets have discovered another tumour on his other paw, and this will be a more complicated operation because they will need to take skin from his body and graft it onto his paw after removing the tumour. We’ll do that operation later, because first it’s important to save his paw and his toes so that he can walk. That’s what they said at the vet’s.

So please, I really do ask for your help as soon as possible so that we can relieve the dog of this terrible pain as quickly as possible, enable him to walk normally again, and thereby give him a few more years of the better life he deserves.

Diablo is an adopted dog who endured five years of a terrible life; he was abused and starved, he was hungry and emaciated when he came to us, he had worms and tapeworms, but we managed to cure him of these problems. He had no fur on his body, he was very poor, and he had even been used in dogfights a few times. Before us, he had already had two owners, and both of them had mistreated him. And thank God, when I saw him in an advert looking for new owners, I wanted to rescue him, and we did rescue him, thank God.he’s been living with us for six years and we make sure he’s really happy and doesn’t have to suffer any more, because he deserves a lovely, peaceful life full of love, and that’s what we give him, so that he’s happy and can forget his old, miserable life and suffering. Diablo is an Argentine Dogo and the best and most loving dog in the world; he gives us attention, all his love and happiness, and even more – he watches over us and protects us from everyone. I will never have another dog as good as Diablo, because he is one of a kind. That is why I do not want him to die because of this tumour; so I am truly on my knees, begging God that we manage to raise the money for the operation, that we can save him from suffering, and that he may live happily until the end of his days – which I hope will be as late as possible –may he live for at least another 5 years because he has the will to live, and that is how it should be.

As soon as the funds are raised, we will go ahead with the operation and share everything via videos and photos.
