Dear Kind and Helpful People, Friends and Strangers!

I am a father from Miskolc, writing to you now because my family’s future and my little girl’s health are at stake.

Up until now, we’ve always tried to manage on our own, but we’ve reached a point where love and determination are no longer enough for day-to-day survival and recovery.

I’ve had to accept that I can’t do this alone – I now need to ask for help for my family.

What we’re fighting for: The health of an 11-year-old girl.

Our greatest concern at the moment is our 11-year-old daughter. She is struggling with severe back problems, and according to the latest medical tests, it looks as though she will need biological therapy.

As a parent, seeing your child living in pain, with her future at stake, is the hardest thing in the world.

The treatments, check-ups and complementary therapies place a financial burden on us that we simply cannot afford.

The reality of our daily lives:

Our family currently lives on a single income. My wife is visually impaired, so she is unable to take on work due to her physical limitations, whilst also looking after our little girl and running the household.

We live in rented accommodation in Miskolc; after paying the rent and bills, there is almost nothing left at the end of the month.

I wanted to take on a second job: I applied to be a food delivery driver so that I could earn some extra money for my family after work, at night or at the weekend. Unfortunately, life has put a spanner in the works here too. Our car is very old and in an unreliable condition. At the moment, we don’t have enough savings to fill it up with petrol, and I certainly can’t afford the immediate maintenance and servicing costs.

So, for the time being, the possibility of helping us out through my own work has remained out of reach.

Why are we asking for help?

This fundraising campaign has been set up to give us a chance at a normal life and recovery.

We will use the funds raised for the following:

Our little girl’s medical treatment, medication and other expenses related to her therapy.

To have the car serviced and roadworthy so that I can start working as a courier, thereby ensuring my family’s livelihood in the long term.

To ease our housing and living costs crisis, so that we do not have to live in fear of tomorrow.

Every little amount, even the price of a coffee, is a huge step towards security for us. If you are unable to support us financially, please share our story, as raising awareness can also save lives.
