Hello, my name is Patrycja and I am 36 years old. I find myself in a difficult situation. I was recently diagnosed with inoperable kidney cancer. My only chance of successful treatment is immunotherapy, which unfortunately involves very high costs that are beyond my financial means. In an instant, my life was turned upside down; it was supposed to be a routine visit to the doctor, but I was told, ‘Your left kidney is very enlarged; we need to carry out further tests.’ Waiting for the results – the worst time, filled with anxiety, stress and, above all, fear. The diagnosis: cancer. A million thoughts racing through my head, litres of tears shed, and an unanswered question: why me? I want to live; I still have my whole life ahead of me. I have a loving family, friends and my beloved pets, who show me every day that they need me. This is why I am turning to you for help. I underwent cryoablation (freezing the tumour), which was effective but not for long; after a few weeks, the tumour reappeared. Two tumours have been removed, but treatment continues as new ones have appeared. 🥺
